What is butter slime?
Butter slime is soft, smooth and spreadable. It stretches slowly instead of snapping and sinks back under your fingers instead of pulling apart, which makes it far less sticky than classic slime. All three Tuff Stuff slimes use the same base. Only the scent and the colour change.
What are the three scents?
Chill is lavender and sweet marjoram over a quiet note of frankincense, for days that need to slow down. Focus is cedarwood and bergamot over a calm note of amyris, for days that need focus. Good Vibes is mandarin and orange over a warm note of vanilla, for days that need a lift.
All three are scented with real essential oils, and every tin lists its own on the label.
Is it safe for kids?
Ages 4 and up. It is non-toxic and made with kid-safe ingredients, but it is not edible and it is not a toy for under-3s. Each tin holds 4 oz and reseals. Keep it away from pets, and stay nearby with younger children.
My slime is sticky, or too stiff
Sticky: cool it in the fridge, then work in a little activator. Stiff: warm it in your hands, then work in a little unscented lotion. Both are normal, and both take under a minute.
How do I look after it?
Wash hands before and after, keep it away from hair, fabric and pets, and close the lid when you are done. The tin reseals, so the packaging is also the storage.
Where do you ship?
The United States only, for now. Your shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
Can I cancel my order?
Email shop@tapouts.com as soon as you know, with your order number, and we will cancel it if we still can.
Your best chance is in the first 60 minutes, which is the window our refund policy sets. After that your order may already be in processing, and once a batch has been packed we cannot pull it back.
Can I return it?
No. Slime is a sensory product: it is handled directly, squeezed and stretched, and once a tin has been opened we have no safe way to pass it on to another family. That applies to sale items too.
Damaged, faulty, incorrect or missing is different. Email shop@tapouts.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem, and we will make it right. The item does not need to be sent back. Approved refunds reach your original payment method within 10 business days. The full refund policy has the detail.
Can I swap a scent?
Not after it ships, for the same reason we cannot take returns. If your order arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect, email shop@tapouts.com and we will sort it. If you would simply like to try a different scent, place a new order.
What is tapouts?
tapouts is the kids coaching company behind Tuff Stuff by tapouts. Kids ages 4 to 16 meet weekly in small age-grouped pods with a certified coach, 30 minutes at a time, and learn what to do when a feeling gets bigger than they are. The first session is free.
